Senior Vice President

Sheryl Klein is a senior living operations professional who has dedicated more than 20 years of her career to resident services management, programming, budgeting, training, and compliance across the continuum of care. As Senior Vice President for Volante Senior Living, Sheryl oversees the daily operations of all independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities managed by the company.

Prior to joining Volante Senior Living, Sheryl served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Lloyd Jones, where she laid the foundation of ownerships vision in creating a operating company. Sheryl built the operating team and took the Senior Housing portfolio from 55 plus Multifamily to full spectrum of Senior Living communities  from the first two properties purchased on January 31, 2022 to 15

communities. In addition to the 15 communities, Sheryl and her team supported third party management of a new construction project and a major hotel conversion. Prior to serving as Senior Vice President for Lloyd Jones, Sheryl served as Vice President of Operations for Somerby Senior Living, where she oversaw multiple senior living communities across six states. There, she was responsible for improving occupancy, reducing expenses, and introducing new programming into the communities. Prior, Sheryl served more than six years at Elmcroft Senior Living, where she first joined as an Executive Director, and, later, was promoted to Regional Director of Operations for the Tennessee region. Earlier in her career, Sheryl held progressive roles within the senior housing operations industry, from Residential Program Coordinator to Director of Staff Development and Quality Assurance Director to Director of Residential Services and Manager of Home Support Services for senior living communities, throughout the Midwest and Southeast.

Sheryl holds degree’s in psychology and nursing. Additionally, she is a licensed administrator in multiple states and holds a compact nursing license and is a certified care specialist in Alzheimer’s disease from the Alzheimer’s Association of America. She holds additional certificates in various geriatric nursing specializations. 


SARAH CURATELLA, Vice President of Quality Services

Sarah Curatella has dedicated her professional nursing career to serving seniors. With over 25 years of experience in nursing, Sarah’s expertise has been in settings such as long-term care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, medical-surgical nursing, long-term acute care, and administration. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. Additionally, she is a licensed administrator, has a compact nursing license, and as a compliment to her professional credentials, she is certified as a Dementia Practitioner by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

JOHN SHULTZ, Vice President of Operations

John brings over 25 years of experience in seniors housing and health care administration. Prior to joining Volante Senior Living, John served as Senior Vice President for WindRiver Management Company, notably within operations and clinical services. John has held multiple positions in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, vendor relations, and health care consulting. His focus is on leadership and collaboration within teams and promotes quality resident care and services, revenue and reputation building strategies, associate engagement, risk management, and asset management.


STEVE HEEB, Regional Director of Human Resources

Steve has over 30 years of experience translating business visions into Human Resources initiatives to improve associate engagement. Prior to joining Volante Senior Living, Steve served as Regional Director of Human Resources and Area Director of Human Resources. Steve has provided support to the Regional Directors of Operations by identifying talent acquisition needs, associate relation trends, and training. Earlier in his career, Steve also served as the Vice President of Organizational Development.

DANIELLE INMAN, Regional Director of Operations

Danielle Inman has served in the senior living industry for 26 years, beginning her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She advanced quickly into leadership positions, including Director of Resident Care, Sales and Marketing Director, and Executive Director for Assisted Living Communities in Ft. Myers, Florida. Danielle also served as a Regional Operations and Sales Specialist, covering the Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Ms. Inman has developed a unique ability to quickly assess situations, make sound recommendations and take decisive actions that drive performance. She is an effective liaison, team-builder and has an inimitable ability to build productive and lasting partnerships across sales and operational departments.

JENNIFER DUNBAR, Regional Director of Operations

Jennifer Dunbar is the Regional Director of Operations for Volante Senior Living. With over 15 years in the hospital and healthcare industry, she is skilled in business planning, contract management, risk management, and business development. Jennifer has a strong passion for compliance and has been commended by the State of Washington and Oregon for providing quality care & services to our seniors. 

KENDRA SIMPSON, Operations Specialist

Kendra brings extensive senior living experience to her role with over 15 years in the industry. She started her career as an Executive Director, spending eight years in that role before transitioning to regional leadership and supporting positions. Kendra enjoys helping teams with implementing and maintaining systems that assist in managing the operational, educational, and financial aspects of our senior living communities. She also loves serving seniors and is particularly passionate about memory care. In all her operational and leadership roles, Kendra has held firmly to the belief that team culture plays a huge part in the contentedness of residents and team members, successful business results, and overall growth and development.

WHITLEY BROWN, LVN, Operations Specialist 

Whitley Brown, LVN, has served in the healthcare industry for 15 years beginning her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She started in senior living as a Director of Memory Care and quickly recognized that she had a passion for senior care. She was promoted to Wellness Director, and then on to Executive Director at a community in Texas.  Moving into operations has been a game-changer for Whitley’s career. Not only does she have the heart for seniors, but she is also a servant leader who enjoys teaching front-line staff the value of customer service in the Assisted Living industry. Whitley is determined to educate the community on the culture of healthcare as well as the benefits of senior living. Furthermore, she is focused on teaching the younger generation the importance of resident care, alongside the opportunities and success within the healthcare industry.
