SHERYL KLEIN
Chief Operating Officer

Sheryl Klein is a senior living operations professional who has dedicated more than 20 years of her career to resident services management, programming, budgeting, training, and compliance across the continuum of care. As Chief Operating Officer for Volante Senior Living, Sheryl oversees the daily operations of all independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities managed by the company.
Prior to joining Volante Senior Living, Sheryl served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Lloyd Jones, where she laid the foundation of ownership’s vision in creating an operating company. Sheryl built the operating team from the ground up and took the Senior Housing portfolio from just two 55-plus Multifamily properties
to 15 full spectrum Senior Living communities in just 11 months. In addition to the 15 communities, Sheryl and her team supported third party management of a new construction project and a major hotel conversion. Prior to serving as Senior Vice President for Lloyd Jones, Sheryl served as Vice President of Operations for Somerby Senior Living, where she oversaw multiple senior living communities across six states. There, she was responsible for improving occupancy, reducing expenses, and introducing new programming into the communities. Prior, Sheryl served more than six years at Elmcroft Senior Living, where she first joined as an Executive Director, and later, was promoted to Regional Director of Operations for the Tennessee region. Earlier in her career, Sheryl held progressive roles within the senior housing operations industry, from Residential Program Coordinator to Director of Staff Development and Quality Assurance Director to Director of Residential Services and Manager of Home Support Services for senior living communities, throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
Sheryl holds degrees in psychology and nursing. Additionally, she is a licensed administrator in multiple states and holds a compact nursing license and is a certified care specialist in Alzheimer’s disease from the Alzheimer’s Association of America. She holds additional certificates in various geriatric nursing specializations.
MEET OUR TEAM

DAVID CLEMENT, Chief Financial Officer
David Clement serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Volante Senior Living. He has over 25 years of experience in the senior housing industry with 20+ years serving in the CFO role for multiple organizations.
Before joining forces with Volante, Mr. Clement was the CFO for The Aspenwood Company, an owner/operator of 34 senior housing communities operating in five states. In that role, David oversaw all accounting functions, treasury management, FP&A, financial reporting, investor relations and risk management.
Prior to The Aspenwood Company, David was the CFO of a start-up senior housing company (Classic American Retirement) and was instrumental in the growth and successful exit of the venture. In addition to this start-up company, Mr. Clement was hired as the Controller/CFO of a high-tech biotechnology start-up company (Perceptive Scientific Instruments) that expanded from a domestic-only customer base into having offices in 20+ locations throughout Europe. David played a pivotal role in the growth and sale of that organization as well.
Mr. Clement began his career in 1986 with a regional CPA Firm located in Houston, Texas working with their Audit team for six years. David received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Sam Houston State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors.

SARAH CURATELLA, Vice President of Quality Services
Sarah Curatella has dedicated her professional nursing career to serving seniors. With over 25 years of experience in nursing, Sarah’s expertise has been in settings such as long-term care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, medical-surgical nursing, long-term acute care, and administration. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. Additionally, she is a licensed administrator, has a compact nursing license, and as a compliment to her professional credentials, she is certified as a Dementia Practitioner by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

FELECIA WELLS, Vice President of Operations
Felecia has passionately served Seniors, their families and the team members who care for them for over 23 years. She began her career in a community near her hometown of Keller, TX and progressively grew into Regional and Sr. Regional roles with a successful emphasis on multi-site acquisitions, new construction, and turn-around Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent communities. Her focus in Operations and Sales leads to excellent occupancy and revenue growth through top notch customer relations, staff development and retention, and asset management. Felecia also leads organizational culture and team development striving to foster an environment of communication, growth, and meaningful connections.

STEVE HEEB, Vice President of Human Resources
Steve has over 30 years of experience translating business visions into Human Resources initiatives to improve associate engagement. Prior to joining Volante Senior Living, Steve served as Regional Director of Human Resources and Area Director of Human Resources for Integral Senior Living. Preceding that role, Steve has also provided support to the Regional Directors of Operations by identifying talent acquisition needs, associate relation trends, and training in his position at Eclipse Senior Living. Earlier in his career, Steve also served as the Vice President of Organizational Development for Elmcroft Senior Living.
DANIELLE INMAN, Regional Director of Operations
Danielle Inman has served in the senior living industry for 26 years, beginning her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She advanced quickly into leadership positions, including Director of Resident Care, Sales and Marketing Director, and Executive Director for Assisted Living Communities in Ft. Myers, Florida. Danielle also served as a Regional Operations and Sales Specialist, covering the Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Ms. Inman has developed a unique ability to quickly assess situations, make sound recommendations and take decisive actions that drive performance. She is an effective liaison, team-builder and has an inimitable ability to build productive and lasting partnerships across sales and operational departments.
JULIA PAIMA, Regional Director of Operations
Julia brings 21 years of experience in senior living. Most recently she worked as Vice President of Operations at Bridge Senior Living. Prior to her time at Bridge, Julia worked as a Regional Director of Operations at Eclipse Senior Living and supported 10 communities in 5 states. Julia started her career in Senior Living right out of college in 2000. She began her career at the Avalon of Bridgewater in New Jersey working as the Business Office Director. Later, she was promoted to the Executive Director role and worked there for 7 years. She moved to Georgia where she continued her career in Senior Living. She worked for three providers serving as the Executive Director in all locations. Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University.
CRYSTAL CARTWRIGHT, Regional Director of Operations
Crystal has spent her entire career in senior living and has over 20 years of experience. Crystal obtained her LPN from TJC and has a compact nursing license. More specifically, her focus of study is in dementia, with an emphasis on behavioral understanding. Crystal holds an associate degree from TJC in Social Work. Crystal loves to be creative and think outside of the box for everything from marketing solutions to positive, yet productive and efficient work environment.
WHITLEY BROWN, LVN, Operations Specialist
Whitley Brown, LVN, has served in the healthcare industry for 15 years beginning her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She started in senior living as a Director of Memory Care and quickly recognized that she had a passion for senior care. She was promoted to Wellness Director, and then on to Executive Director at a community in Texas. Moving into operations has been a game-changer for Whitley’s career. Not only does she have the heart for seniors, but she is also a servant leader who enjoys teaching front-line staff the value of customer service in the Assisted Living industry. Whitley is determined to educate the community on the culture of healthcare as well as the benefits of senior living. Furthermore, she is focused on teaching the younger generation the importance of resident care, alongside the opportunities and success within the healthcare industry.
